Public Relations & Development Manager

Location:  
Garrettsville Administration Office

Salary:  $48,069
Hours:  40 hours per week, Exempt
Qualifications:  
Bachelor’s degree in a field related to public relations or communications, experience in grant writing and donor relations, library experience preferred.   

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
The Public Relations and Development Manager is responsible for promoting library programs and services to the community and serving as the primary point-of-contact for media relations purposes.  The Public Relations and Development manager will identify opportunities to promote the library service to the community. This position also represents the library at community events and acts as a liaison between local groups and the library.  The Public Relations and Development Manager is part of the administrative team and participates in immediate and long-term planning of the library’s services within its service community.

JOB OPPORTUNITY

SUBSTITUTE Outreach Services Driver & Materials Delivery Driver

Portage County District Library system is looking for people to work on an “as needed” basis to fill in for our delivery drivers working out of our Garrettsville Branch.

Hourly Rate: $11.49/hour Materials Delivery Driver Substitute
         $14.17/hour Outreach Services Substitute

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalency. Valid Ohio Driver’s License with good driving record. Ability to move materials from one location to another.  Position requires physical agility including the ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb and lift 40 pounds. Ability to perform general building repairs and maintenance. Availability to work during regular Library hours is necessary.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  
Good driving skills.  Ability to follow instructions in written, oral and picture form. Knowledge and skill in general maintenance and minor repairs of facilities, furniture
and equipment. Ability to demonstrate physical fitness required for extended periods of manual labor.
