Library Branch Manager
Garrettsville & Windham Branches

The Branch Manager is responsible for managing the daily operation of the Aurora branch. Responsibilities include supervising, training, and scheduling staff.  The Branch Manager will coordinate and evaluate branch programs and services. This position also represents the library at community events and acts as a liaison between local groups and the library.  The Branch Manager is part of the administrative team and participates in immediate and long-term planning of the library’s services within its service community.

Qualifications:  Masters of Library Science degree or within six months of obtaining the degree and related work experience.  Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends.

Benefits:  This is a full-time non-exempt position. Starting salary is $22.01 per hour, plus benefits, including, paid vacation, holidays, sick time, and OPERS retirement pickup.

Information Services Technician
Library Associate II

Location:  Garrettsville Branch

Pay scale:  Library Associate II            Minimum rate of pay:  $12.04 per hour
Wages and terms of employment are covered by the collective bargaining agreement between the Portage County District Library (PCDL) and District 1199, SEIU.  

Hours:  20 hours per week, may include some evenings and weekends.  Hourly, Non-exempt, Bargaining Unit.  

Qualifications:  High school diploma or equivalency required.  Information and computer services experience preferred.  

Job Overview:  Service, maintain, upgrade and install computer hardware, software and operating system for both patron and Portage County District Library staff use.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:   Working knowledge of current (Windows) operating system and related computer software. Knowledge of computer hardware maintenance and repair.  Ability to analyze equipment and software problems and resolve them. Ability to travel to all Portage County District Library facilities and meetings as assigned.
